What does our
first class look like?

Starting ballet for the first time is a very special milestone, and it’s completely normal for little ones to feel a bit unsure at first.

Our baby ballet class is 30 minutes long, making it the perfect introduction to ballet while gently encouraging independence, confidence, and trust. This short, joyful session allows children to experience being left in a safe, nurturing environment while having a wonderful time.

During their first class, your child will be welcomed by our friendly teacher and helpers, who offer plenty of support, encouragement, and reassurance. We kindly ask parents to wait outside and watch from the door, as this helps children adapt more easily, build confidence in their teacher, and stay focused on the class.

We use a mix of fun, familiar music alongside classical ballet pieces to capture the magic of ballet. Props are often introduced to spark imagination, inspire creative play, and encourage children to respond through movement. The class is interactive and playful, with gentle questions and activities that help each child feel involved and proud of their achievements.

Watching your child take their very first steps in ballet, from that first class to their first performance on stage is a truly special experience. Seeing the bravery and confidence grow in someone so small is guaranteed to fill you with pride.
